run or hide

To run
Or to hide from you?
To be caught
or be found.

Catching requires chasing
Finding requires looking.

To be chased
Or to be looked for?

Which, less desperate,
Which, more from you?

Because gone are the days
Of empty hands and
Tired, ticking clocks:
They’re now filled with projects-
Both of them-
And your name is no longer
the title.

To run
Or to hide from you?
Or to do neither of the two-

Because nobody is chasing
Nobody is looking,

And for once
It feels just fine-

Simply
standing
still.
